Letter no.1

My  heart is as heavy as a stone
it pounds inside of me and aches like never before.

American soldiers are required to go by a creed that states;



I am an American Soldier.
I am a Warrior and a member of a team.
I serve the people of the United States, and live the Army Values.
I will always place the mission first.
I will never accept defeat.
I will never quit.
I will never leave a fallen comrade.
I am disciplined, physically and mentally tough, trained and proficient in my warrior tasks and drills.
I always maintain my arms, my equipment and myself.
I am an expert and I am a professional.
I stand ready to deploy, engage, and destroy, the enemies of the United States of America in close combat.
I am a guardian of freedom and the American way of life.
I am an American Soldier.


trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding...... this creed is proving hard for me today.

i am battling with my understanding....

my faith saying its ok but my intellect shouting that's an endless pit
i am fasting , praying trying hard to get my mind and heart on the same page.

i want to go AWL, and run back home to my comfort
yet faith requires me to stay
hope requires me to be patient
and patient assures me Rest.

so stay i will
and i know he will see me through,
